Gladys Holt
of RR 3, Veedersburg, age 73, died Wednesday night, October 20, in St.
Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. She was born at Fulton, Missouri,
November 14, 1908, the daughter of Marshall D. and Cansada Scott Blacker.
December 23, 1928, she married Joseph Holt, who survives. Mrs. Holt was a
member of the Christian Church at Colfax and Sterling Ladies Aid.
Also surviving
are two daughters, Barbara Kester and Mary Ellen Beasley, both of RR 3,
Veedersburg; a son, Joseph C. of Veedersburg; seven grandchildren and one great
grandchild.
Funeral services
were held Saturday afternoon at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev.
Richard Throckmorton officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery.
